That was what I suggested in my first email. Apparently they couldn't convince their "Part Correction Department"

Might it be useful to start a sticky "Wall of Shame" thread/list that hangs around to warn newbies, etc. of the sellers we've learned to avoid?

I have bought stuff from them before. The sales person I deal with is great. She will pull an item and personally take a pic if need be. They sell a lot of open box, etc and I have had to send a couple things back but always been dealt with promptly and they send a shipping tag for it so nothing lost except some time.

God idea but we do have to watch ourselfs...Rob PM me yesterday about it.
    Need a little input
1: do we keep the thread open
2: do we keep it closed and just add to it
3: If we leave it open and just say a seller see's it and posts in it...well you know whats going to happen.
There is a lot of things to look at I think before we jump on it BUT it is a darn good idea. I think we should run it on both sites

It's worth it for proven a-holes. Defining "proven" is the issue though.

I'll start this as an OPEN forum at TBT... I'll do it later today and add some content to it.

I think HONESTY is the only and best way to do this!

I have also bought from them. 2 gobi 1000 cards pulled from Toughbooks and for less than I could find them elsewhere.

Rather than just a "sh*t" list, maybe the fairest solution might be a separate thread for each listed dealer - where we could post both good and bad reviews?

We could just have a thread entitled, "My Experience With <Name of Company>" and let them go and keep them open... You will, of course, have people on both sides of the fence... Unless they are buying a "Black Hawk".... Bwahahahahahaha

I think the way to do this is to not slander these people, or attempt to deflame their name or reputation, but to just give honest customer feedback about bad experiences. Just the facts folks... This, however, may prove to be very difficult. I think a thread such as this would require A LOT of moderator follow-up to keep it from going to an all-out thermo-nuclear war! Especially when we run across service that is just inches above the spawn of satan personalities that we seem to run across.... :mad2:

    My thoughts exactly.

I agree that it would probably have to be a "closed" thread with posted being at the moderators discretion.
Feedback is only as worthwhile as the person giving it. I just made a purchase for a device that remotely, via a cable, that plugs into a pci e connector on a desktop. The seller/product got 3 negatives because those buyers plugged it in backwards and toasted the mb's. Hey, if it doesn't fit..FORCE IT!!!!
