Thanks Toughbook, Modly, Mnementh and others on this discussion blog

I bought a CF-28PCJAAPM on ebay. It was wiped and preloaded with XP. WiFi was working but weak.

With the tips from you guys and the Service Manual from Modly I was able to dissemble the base and screen, remove the 56k modem and bluetooth card that i do not need.
I replaced the existing antenna mess with a new netgate 24 inch U.FL to RPSMA pigtail and jack.
I went from two bars to 5 bars of reception on a new CM9 WiFi card with 5004MP Atheros 4G.

The battery even ended up having 4:15 hrs of run time after doing the battery refresh.

I'm happy with my lunchbox computer.

    Thanks again,
    Pete
