I believe I have these. If these are not the ones I have, I will take pictures.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay?

These look like what is known as challenge coins. There are companies that let you design them and they produce them then. The PD I work for had some made and sell them for $10 a piece. I bet Rob would get a custom batch made up :p

Theres an idea!! We could get some made, with the front as it is, flag and toughbook, but on the back, instead of defenders of freedom, we could put.

FEED THE SICKNESS, and then the logos of ebay, the notebook forum, toughbook talk, or anyplace toughbooks are sold.

    :)

They also make custom shapes, maybe we should have one made in the shape of a toughbook.

This is pure insanity... I thought buying a "Toughbook" tee shirt was bad... then i got a "Toughbook" tattoo... At that point I knew that I just went off the deep end. Then I get a custom made dogbone logo from Jeff with my name on it (made out of leather of course).

Now we are looking for custom made coins?

SURE, WHY THE HELL NOT! LMAO!

you think that's bad I finally succumbed and bought a Panasonic Q which I have wanted since they came out around 2001-2002. A collaboration between Nintendo and Panasonic pretty weird but cool. Basically a Gamecube with a dvd player and awesome added to it. Finally snagged one and will post pics when it arrives. looks like this :

    Spaceworld 2001: The Panasonic GameCube

    OOOHH! shiny!

Uh, CT; you've already set a "price." ;)

    Very old joke:

He: Would you consider sleeping with me for a million dollars?
    She: Well...I guess so.
    He: How about ten dollars?
She: (angrily) Do you think I'm a whorə?
He: We've already established that; now we're only haggling over the price.

those look like the coins that Battalion, Brigade and Division commanders give out in liue of an actual award for a job well done. There is a business in Killeen,TX that custom makes them on order. I do not remember the name of the business I will leave that bit of hunting for the interested. I have about 45 coins like those in all shapes and colors from my time in the U.S.ARMY.

If anyone was so inclined to make one up for Rob, a quick Google check yields a price of about $7-15 per coin for a standard round design and a minimum order quantity of 50. This includes a "die fee" of $100-$240, with this fee removed for quantities of like 500+. The big difference in cost comes from larger size coins and adding color on one or both sides. Custom shapes would be more obviously. If you wanted to go crazy (or crazier depending on yourpoint of view) and order 1000 or more, the price drops to about $2.35-$5.92 per coin.

Legal disclaimer: I am only providing information. Do not send me any therapy bills becuase I added to a pre-exisiting Toughbook mental condition. :D

Most likely a Panosonic promotional item to give to Military and Police buyers that already collect challenge coins.
