Heres the thang...I got this here CF18 FH and since I dont have the restore discs I boldly go to Panasonic Support and download the "oh so precious" drivers and I go through the setup just until I see the dreaded "This machine does not support" on one of the hotkey drivers...then on the inf...then the touchscreen...I am hoping someone can help me with this or I may see just how tough it is when I throw it out the window...Thanks in advance,Travis 828 734 1877 [email protected]

don't know if this helps, Toughbook may have some restore discs, check with JB007RULES, OHLIP, on the ebay is a "copy" of mk 1 restore disks now for cf-18, finally I've only got restore disks from Mark Hawkins off of ebay for the cf-29 family. he seems to come up with the restore disks for some of the models, so give a looky,....................Driller

I can provide the restore disc's no doubt, but yes, as crazykanuk stated. Use WinRAR to extract the contents of the files and then you're golden :)

If this is a reference to the files downloaded directly from one of the Panasonic websites, the instructions for dealing with that are included in the guide:

I've used 7-Zip, which is Open Source software, but as others have reported, WinRAR should work, too.

On the other hand, if you have already completed the above step, have extracted all the setup files, and are at a later point in the setup process, we will probably need more specific information on which drivers you are attempting to use.
