I would like to hear from other CF-30 owners to find out what others think of it compaired to the earlier CF Fully Rugged Toughbooks. I have a CF-30 and I love it.

Mail your CF-30 to me, and I'll tell you what I think of it ;)

I might keep it a while though.

They have some nifty features though, and one day I'll own one.

hi joecox2, i have a cf-30ctqazbm at the "amazing deal" price with the dvd multi drive. i added 2 gig of pc2-5300 ram and added the kensington micro bluetooth (fits in rear usb with door closed) and it works with the toshiba bluetooth stack software alraedy on the cf-30. this then runs a globalsat bt-359 gps with ms streets and trips 2008 for navigation. it also connects with motorola phone tools. i bought a oem battery and the proper desktop charger and never have to plug in, not even for a jump drive thanks to a wi-fi network drive for back-up. its a plenty fast laptop and under warranty till' 6-2010 so i wont modify this unit and hopefully sell it before warranty expires and get a new one. this laptop is always a coversation piece when friends stop over for computer repairs which pays for my panasonic habit, and thanks to the people on this forum my friends and i enjoy the youtube cf-30 endurance videos!

Thanks for the offer, but I only need one CF-30. I thought all of them came with bluetooth? I might be wrong on this one?

Most of them come with bluetooth but a couple don't. It's really easy to physically check if you think you have it. Look under the keyboard, under the plate. There's a kind of X looking silver metal bracket and a short antenna on the left leading to it. The bluetooth module sits on the left side and that short antenna goes to it.

The CF30 is one of the best laptop I have used. Sure it doesn't have the latest specs or the best looking screen playing hi def movies, but what it lacks in horsepower, it more than makes up for it in durability, reliability and quality. I'm sad to say that even though its a full rugged laptop, I still treat it like a Macbook in that I never toss it around like a book, but just knowing that if I do, nothing would happen is more than enough. Sometimes, just having the option is fantastic feeling. Only thing I miss is not being able to use it on the plane and watch a movie cause I'm sure the laptop would just make the tray come crashing down.

I don't know what a 30 weighs, but I never fly without a 28 on the tray, running a topo program with a usb gps stuck under the window shade so I always know what I'm looking at out the window. Never had a tray collapse yet.
