    I found these at auction:

Which is a better laptop ...
    CF-73NCQASKM
    or
    CF-72X3JWZKM

The BIOS on the CF-72X3JWZKM can not be access due to a password. How can I get past that.

    Model Number:
    CF-73NCQASKM
    Status:
    DISCONTINUED
    MSRP:
    $3,833
    Description: Pentium M 1.7GHz (Centrino), 13.3" Transmissive Touch XGA, 512MB RAM, 64VRAM, 60GB, 56K, Ethernet NIC 10/100, Intel 802.11b+g, DVD/CDRW, SmartCard, WIN XP

You may have a good deal if the 73 is cheap and complete.

Stay away from the 72 with the "word that will not be spoken".

Both should be @ 6-7 years old.

The CF-73 has 1GB RAM, no battery and no power adapter.
    It's currently at $60 with 7 bidders.

Power adapter is no problem. It uses the same adapter as a CF-28, CF-72 and others. If that's not correct, it'll use the same adapter as CF-29, CF-30 and others. Batteries can be expensive.

The 73 model uses the newer yellow tip charger like the 29 and 30.

That 73N is the model I have the most of. It has a ATI 9000 graphics card in it. It will be a very good performer. It even plays games like the first F.E.A.R. with out problems. It will be much faster than the CF-72.
