What would be best in order to replace the touchscreen on the cf29 mk3. Get just the components or the whole screen? I found on ebay just the components and also here one is selling the whole screen.

At this point I think it comes down to the current condition of your screen, what plans you have for it, and cost. If you get a whole assembly you will end up with extra parts you may or may not have a use for. Ultimately it comes down to cost, which will give you more bang for the buck. ;)

Disclaimer: I'm the one selling the whole touchscreen assembly, and other CF-29 parts.

I'm gonna post your question because I think they are good ones, and others can benefit:
Q: My unit has the pull out antenna, can that be moved over to a screen assembly that doesn’t have one?
A: Yes. I think the process is pretty straight forward.

Q: Are the touchscreen assembly transferable between different MARKS?
A: Yes. I have not had any issues with transferring touchscreen assemblies to different MKs. You just need to install the touchscreen driver for your model.

True. The touchscreen is the same part number between marks.

    Hi
can the cf29 screen be fitted to the cf30? have a good old 29 with good screen, but a newer 30 with rough screen.

the screen itself might fit. but the enclosure wont. you'll have to disassemble it. but i'm not sure about the screen-mobo connector. sometimes its even different on the same models.

Wow this pretty interesting, I mean with all the talk about how problematic that the Touchscreen is with the Mark 4 & 5!

Does anyone have an explanation for that? The different chipsets?
