Normally on these units when I install the WWAN card I make sure that the WWAN is enabled in the BIOS. However on this model that option is not available. The model number is CF-192VYFX1M. I had the same problem with a few CF-52s and by using this forum I was sent to a BIOS Flash file that added that feature to the bios.

Is this the same situation with these CF-19s. If so does anyone know where I can get that file?

    It's MK6, not MK4.
Maybe spgobi2 will help, but I'm not sure.

P.S. It's a federal model without Wi-Fi. I think you may have problems without another BIOS.
Maybe Shawn will come here and tell you - he's guru in BIOS :)

Is there a menu line in the bios called optional kit?

When I do try the spgobi2 file it says that it does not work on the Calpella platform.

Hi everyone I'm having a similar issue, but my BIOS does not have the "Optional Kit" setting in the BIOS. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    Thanks
    Carl

Did it have a Gobi installed ever?
    The standard Gobi for a mk4 was a Gobi2000.
You "MAY" have to install a Gobi2000 to get the "Optional Kit Configuration" to show up.
What are the numbers on the Gobi3000? Is it from a Toughbook?
If it's from another brand laptop, it is a good possibility that it will never work in a Toughbook.

There is no "Optional kit configuration" in my MK4 too.

spgobi2 helped me and Gobi1000 works fine in this machine :)
Hope Toughbookfreak doesn't need a new BIOS.

(Did it have a Gobi installed ever? )

No, it has never been installed

    (The standard Gobi for a mk4 was a Gobi2000. )

    Have one on the way.

(You "MAY" have to install a Gobi2000 to get the "Optional Kit Configuration" to show up.
What are the numbers on the Gobi3000? Is it from a Toughbook?)

It was purchased directly from Panasonic

(If it's from another brand laptop, it is a good possibility that it will never work in a Toughbook.)
