    Hello all:

I have two CF-54 toughbooks that I need to fit with 7355 Air card. I have them installed in the toughbook, and after some google searching I found that the password for the optional kit configuration in the bios is 'toughbook'. But it is asking for a WAN ID. Now, I have seen from my google searches that some people have said to change the FF to 04 or even 08, but neither of these work.

I have windows 10 on the laptop. I cannot see the device in windows device manager, and I think the reason is the WAN ID. Any help or ideas?

    Thanks!

Welcome to the Panasonic Toughbook forum.

The only active member who has a 54 is @Toyo but not sure if he has one installed in his. Hopefully he will see this thread. Is this card a Panasonic card?

The card is Sierra Wireless Airprime, model EM7355. The issue is resolved. We found that the WWAN ID in the optional kit configuration in the bios must be set to 13.

You said the password was "toughbook". Why i ask is on the older toughbooks it was "toughkit".

Good but it would not surprise me if they did change it just to mess with us. I will change your post. Thank you.

Use trial and error from 01 to 10 or by combination.

I got a CF-53 Mk2 with what I thought was that same Sierra card, and it's "toughkit" ID was set to "dd". Interesting that "13" in decimal is equal to "D" in hexidecimal . . .
