HELLO, I AM NEW TO THIS FORUM, I JUST PURCHASED A PANASONIC TOUGHBOOK CF-27, RUNNING WINDOWS 98. IN TH RESOURCE MANUAL, IT TELLS OF EXITING TO DOS, AND TYPING C:\WINDOWSCOMMAND\BATTREF /g.
(I THINK THI IS RIGHT) ANYWAY WHEN I DO THIS I GET A MESSAGE "BAD FILE OR COMMAND" OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT.
THIS UNIT ORIGINALLY HAD WINDOWS 95 ON IT, SO MAYBE THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE FOR 95 AND NOT 98?? ANYONE HAVE EXPIERIENCE WITH THIS? (I AM TRYING TO HAVE THE COMPUTER DRAIN MY BATTERY ALL THE WAY DOWN, AND CHARGE IT BACK UP TO RE-CALIBRATE) ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.
THANKS,
DDAYMEN
P.S., I JUST LOVE THIS LAPTOP!!!

Try this first... Go into the bios to the advanced tab I think. See if there is a battery refresh option there.
The 28 I had had it in the BIOS, my 29 has it as a windows program. Not sure of the 27 but I would check the BIOS first. -
Thanks For Thw Info., I'll Try That.

Its not in the bios on the older model toughbooks

Well.. since it is an exe file I would think you would go into Windows and run it. It will tell you what to do from there....

I am sorry I can't install on my vista to know how it works as vista isn't too good with dos programs
If you have 98 run the exe files as they might install to the correct places to allow you to run from dos
