    Hi all,

    I have a Toughbook CF-31ATAAA2M with Windows 7 (i5, 4GB, 64GB)

All seemed fine. Except that once is goes into hybernate/sleep when I wake it up the Wifi icon in the tray ALWAYS has a red X through the bars.

Is this a driver issue or ?

Only way to get it to work is to restart it or turn wifi switch off then on again.

    Any idea?

    Thanks in advance

    M

Try changing the power settings to prevent windows from turning it off.

I had this problem with Intel 6200 Wi-fi adapter. Try Shawn's advice and try to change driver.
If nothing helps - just change Intel adapter to Atheros. 100% stability.

Same thing on my CF-53 Intel 6205...it connects in about 15-20 seconds even with the power settings changed....no big deal since this thing only takes 20 secomds to start up anyways I have hybernate/sleep setting disabled...makes a faster boot up (thats what they say??)

    Thank you guys.

Problem. I tried looking for Atheros driver to no avail?

If you look below I have the - Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6200 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi module

Can anyone point me in the right direction to get the right Atheros driver - I like the sound of 100% stability! :)

----Models equipped with Core i5 processors come with Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6200 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi modules, whereas Core i3 models have an Atheros AR9285 802.11b/g/n WiFi module.-----

Atheros driver goes with an Atheros card..You would need to swap out your wifi card...I suggest an Ubiquiti SR71e

Go to Intel web site and get latest drivers and Proset. See if that corrects your problems.
