    Toughbook W5 Question

    I have a toughbookcf-w5 there is no sound from either speaker or front jack. It had vista volume meter showing output. Done the usuall driver thing. Then put XP on and added driver .Still no sound even through front jack can anyone help Thanks

    Welcome to the forum.... You shouldn't post a general question in a "sticky" as it will most likely get lost, receive no answer and it gums up the sticky.

    Hopefully... Someone will have your answer soon! ;)

    Have you tried the built-in diagnostics (Ctrl-F7 at the Panasonic start up screen)? The sound test should produce a beep if you do not have sound muted.

    This is SOOO !!! In all these years considering myself an "expert", I DID NOT KNOW about this!!! THANK YOU! Rep point given!!!

    I did know about the control+F9 key for the battery calibration test...

    Any other secrets I don't know about???
