I've got a trip to Italy planned this summer, that will involve at least two flights between European cities. Has anyone had trouble getting their TBs through European security? Thanks.

Don't know about europe, but I have flown to Hawaii and Florida with toughbooks. TSA goes a little nuts about them. I managed to get a peek at the xray screen in Florida. I had 2 CF-19's with me (and a Surface Pro 4). The CF-19's look like a solid block. I had to do the whole power up thing for them. Fun and interesting drama!

The Sad thing about all that Security and the 'power up, check it out' is that a 1/4" thick iPhone4 could perform all those functions leaving room for Lots and Lots of... Pamphlets or something...

I've traveled US Virgin Islands and the guy said "Whats in that briefcase?" and I had to put it through the x-ray scanner and found out it was a laptop

Exactly!! They worry about things that they have no Clue about (Like the TSA agent that was trying to find a mans 'BitCoin stash' he was 'smuggling out of the country' and they held him up for half an hour!) when they should be concentrating on finding things they Can; like an underwear bomber, shoe bomber, loaded handgun...
Did you know a Single Mercury thermometer could drop an International plane out of the air halfway across the ocean?? I'd be more concerned about that then seeing a laptop look like it powered up.Wyoming88! likes this. -
Might want to remove that last line..
The mods will if you don't, I am sure of that.
