So I may be very much mistaken and perhaps just showing my age but here are a few of my trivial thoughts and questions.
My 2014 Imac with 16 GB Ram boots slower than my 2007 2GB Core 2 duo w/ Win XP Pro.
My CF-30 MK2 with dual boot Vista Business boots faster than Win 7.
My point is that for the average user, one who wants to back-up/encode DVD's, Process audio codecs, Edit music, Process RAW to JPEG etc. One can perform all the aforementioned tasks with an older less expensive machine. It is my belief that so called, processing "peak" occurred several years ago, The current machines that require 8 to 32 Gigs of RAM are actually just a ploy by the manufactures to force the user into buying a newer PC.

Win 7 needs tweaked to get the full potential out of it.

As far as hardware peak goes...I have a C5v tablet with an i5 processor and Win 7..It will absolutely smoke any Core2Duo Toughbook I own. It is amazingly faster.toughasnails, ADOR, UNCNDL1 and 1 other person like this. -
Shawn, Thanks for the links, am checking them out now and they look to be quite useful. My iMac has I5 processor, since new I see the, "spinning pinwheel" daily, maybe just to much power for a crapintosh...

Is the C5V worth the money though? CF-30 = $150, C5V= $2500-$5000. Perhaps if it included the docking station. I can burn a BRMV in like 12 minutes. Does the Motion Tablet even come with an optical device or USB dongle or even a USB port?

I got the C5v for less than $150.00. It was a Ebay deal.
I needed to supply my own AC adapter and digitizer stylus if I remember correctly.
My C5v does have a sealed USB port.
I use a USB optical drive.
They also make a magnetic stripe reader that snaps on the bottom. It's about 1.5 inches square and 6 inches long. It has a USB port on it. Very handy when I need a second USB port.
