I Found that the mouse / touchpad was not smooth and somtimes hard to move the mouse, i thought about my iphone and that screen protector is ment for a touch screen so i cut it and made it the same size as the track pad and viola! Smooth Touchpad Use! Idk if it will work for all but i lost no sensitivity and its working great! Plus i wont wear on my trackpad!

Just So you Know, i went to Best Buy and Bought the Brand Dlo AnitGlare Screen Protector for Iphone 3gs if it helps!

I notice a big difference in the texture/feel between my CF30MK1 & MK2. The MK1 is much smoother for some reason. I know it's not the oil from my skin since I clean them the same way.

I would never have thought a screen protector would not hinder the use of the touchpad?

It makes sense to me that a makeshift "touchpad protector" would not hinder the pad's sensitivity. This is a good find, and I'm glad you've tried it out!

The fully-rugged Toughbooks use a pressure-sensitive touchpad, rather than the capacitance/resistance (or whatever else) technology that non-rugged laptops use. You'll notice that most laptops require your finger to make physical contact with the pad, or the cursor won't respond at all. I've heard that fully-rugged TBs are designed to allow use while wearing gloves, hence this special touchpad.

Try it - put on a glove, or at least put a piece of cloth over your CF-27/28/29/30 touchpad, and try to use it anyway. The mouse cursor still works!

It Acutally Works Great Without loss of sensitivity, used it all day. I also understand the idea of the wearing gloves thing as well, its tru, but i have to say its a big improvement. Try it out only cost u if 10 bucks
