I have a bad track pad on a 29. Will a 27 or 28 interchange? Thanks

I know for a fact that the CF-28's and 29's are NOT the same... 27 - I an't imaging that it would be the same either.

Nope, All three are completely different beasts. sorry
-
Thanks.
It used to be that the parts on every model T ever made were interchangeable, including the color!
When the time comes, it's going to be hard sorting the good from the bad. -
I just tore apart a 1.4GHz laptop that I got for parts... The monitor starts out slightly red but goes to normal color quickly... The left palmrest was cracked more than I have ever seen one. They sometimes get breaks just above the battery... But I have never seen one this bad before.
I stripped it of everything! Every last screw and adhesive piece.... The only thing that wasn't reusable was the palmrest cover. (And of course the main body.) I needed to harvest the touchpad for another of mine as well.
I also had to trash the bottom... Apparently someone had taken a Dremel tool to it in order to slip something out of the PCMCIA card slot... Like they were trying to allow a cable in or something. They did a very poor job.
But at least I got a good set of spare parts for projects I am working on! -
TBtech, my memory fails me at times but I believe dear 'ol Grav mentioned the pads for the 28 can be swapped from a 27... and of course, I could have been wrong.

Yup -
The TouchPoint from the CF-27 works fine in the CF-28 that's what I have in mine. (Got it from Grav, too) Plus, as an added bonus, you get the nice charcoal grey touchpad instead of that pukey light grey one (which was on my Mk3) that yellows with age.

Don't touch me there! -
Grav's wisdom live on. Bless him.
Thanks dwagon for the confirmation... I thought I was losing it!
