Hi all,
I received today the GPS kit I purchased on ebay. I installed this kit instead of the OEM Sony. Also, I installed a clean Windows 7 Pro with all the drivers.
But, for some reason the GPS is not recognized on windows 7. I also installed the Ublox driver for windows 7 from Microsoft. All it does is creating a virtual com port. But still, can't find the GPS. In the BIOS it shows GPS= Auto. Am I doing something wrong? Does any of you dealt with that GPS kit before? Any help will be appreciated.
(sorry for the English)
Thanks.

Look in Device Manager; see what the Virtual Com port # is. Then go get PuTTY, connect to that Com port, and look for NMEA formatted data.
Or, you can search for "nmea data viewer" and find dozens of shareware/trial apps that will connect to a com port and decipher/log an nmea data stream for you.
