I have been working on a CF19 with some USB issues. Issues such as, they don't work.

In my experimenting, I tried a PCMCIA to USB adapter. I will only plug a USB stick into these as they do not supply enough current for anything else.

I discovered that the CF19 WILL boot from a USB stick plugged into a PCMCIA device. I even installed Windows 7 onto the HDD using the USB in the PCMCIA.

I also tried a mini PCIE to USB adapter in the WWAN slot. That worked as well, but I did not try to boot from it. I did have to go into OPTIONAL KIT in the BIOS and enable the WWAN.

I wonder if you can use a nano receiver to a wireless mouse internally like that and have it work properly. So many hacked internal USB possibilities...

I see my twin from another mother answered the what model question.
    Thanks Jeff.

The problem becomes the metal housing of the CF 19 and CF31. Radio waves won't go through the metal.
