Saw these and was wondering if they might be acceptable to use with some of the CF-27/CF-28 systems, as a cheaper alternative to the hack discussed here.
Not saying they'll be a sturdy, but with the antenna, maybe some better range than typical USB device.

Hmmm possible depends if they are backward compatible with USB 1.0 for the CF-27 and USB 1.1 with the CF-28, unless you use a PCMCIA USB 2.0 card in the slot.
