At the first i want to build in a webcam into the display of the toughbook, but i did not know, there is really no space for a cam. Where the lid-magnet is, is a place, but the pictures from a cam looking upwards to faces are horrible.

So i have an free intern USB-Port. Does anyone know what do do with it?

    Here are the pics:

    GREAT WORK! Very good!

I guess the question is... "What CAN'T you add?"

How hard was it to cut into the middle of the ribbon cable? I guess you don't worry about cutting it a little too much?

That is good for usb gps coz the power will be off when the computer is off not just like on cn(18) and also for usb sd card reader for those without a builtin one.

@toughbook: It's not so difficult to cut, like u mean. I took a small shear to cut them out. Difficult is to count the wires....take a thin pen to mark every tenth.

@ohlip: Your right, because i have now installed the GPS-Mouse on cn18 and the bluetooth on cn52, so cn49 is now free for an other device...maybe an dvb-t/analog/tv/radio-stick (would this work in the outlands of new sealand/australia?)? The antenna could be come out in the left upper corner of the display.
