Hmmm. I hope you get more that just a camera for the extra $500. (visions of a remote, autonomous camera drone - but that would be a 'little' more than $500)

-> from comment section in article-
PS- Yes I've seen toughbooks do some amazing things. I was onsite no more then two weeks ago where our company is moving 6 floors up. they were currrently building out the floor.
I was with a contractor who was walking down the internal flight of stairs in the building and we were going down to the previous floor to check the T1 circuits.
He was juggling his drink, his touchbook (no idea the model) and his floorplans. The guy dropped it down a flight of stairs. the thing rolled down it on its end. the thing didn't even have a dent.
Panasonic makes some spooky (stuff) in regards to how well they can take a beating.

How much room is in the top of the CF-19 screen. Enough to fix a micro camera? Possibly a new mod to try?

Maybe replace the space with the Cell antenna with the camera (slightly angled of course)

Camera module PDF The camera is on the bottom??? Makes it impossible (or hard) to replace the ram. (With the guys here, nothing is impossible.)

That looks awkward. I hope that is a good 'protection seal' over the lens, or it won't last long. :(

The CF-19 looks like a big Polaroid Land camera, with the bellows collapsed, in those drawings. I almost expect to have to pull a white tab to eject the picture, then have to count to 60 for it to develop. :)
