Seems to be some confusion on this... And at least one other recent thread asking about it.

Okay so when upgrading to Vista from xp, the bois needs to be upgraded. There is one for that, and also downgrading back to XP.

The update info I was finding says they are .exe files and executed from inside windows. I have not found any files with .exe. The ones I was finding required use of a USB floppy.

Is there a way to do it without the USB floppy?

    Can a thumbdrive be used?

    Logged onto windows?

It is possible I just had incomplete folders/downloads. But nothing I was reading, was matching up with what I had. And now I have two folders with different file s in them.

It's all done inside windows...really it is very easy...download it and double click on it . I just checked and it is a exe file

Haha when and if they are written as well as the one linked above! I have been using the 6 page drivers detail documents. No specific order to them, and not very clear...

Thanks! The biggest issue I keep coming across, is there is so much different information spread everywhere. It seems the japan site should be the first go to.

Some of the upgrade files out there, do not update from inside windows. You have to extract them, build a floppy, etc etc. Annoying.

This let me FINALLY get BIOS updated! Whoot! And that gave me a direction to dig for my Bluetooth issues.
