Is it correct that the usb on cn18 is always on? (even when the tougbook is turned off)
Any work around to avoid this?

Its only the VA5. If you used the VC5 you'll be fine.
ohlip -
I have the pcb from Vincent, and there the usb is on VA5, i will have a closer look to this board and modify it to VC5 (if any VC5 is on cn18)
I will use it for an 3G usb stick, and that is an energy eater if it is always on.(sends signal even when the program is turned off) -
Forgive my learning curve but what does VC5 and VA5 mean?
-
VA5 is 5 volts always on (even with toughbook powered off)
VC5 is 5 volts with power on.
And i noticed that VC5 is not on cn18, so i have to get the 5 volts from elsewhere
Usb on cn18 (CF29)
