Just passing along a business that 'recycles' equipment for companies. I have dealt with them before and they are pretty straight up.
The site page *HERE* is where they have several CF-30s for $222.50 and a single CF-29 for $122.
Like I said, just putting the word out if anyone is interested...
-
If those guy allow me to buy those cf-30. I will buy them all. But it is only available for USA customer only.
ohlip -
I just checked and there is only three left! They go that fast!
-
Ohlip,

Blair..I've changed my mind. Its in Class "C" condition not worth for reselling. But this is good for those who need an everyday toughbook. The price for the whole thing is not even enough for the Mbo. You guys may grab it. It will not last long.
Edit: Last two!

I know I am going to kick my hass in the morning but I am going to pass.....have my eye on something else that I need more, at least that is what my girlfriend is telling me
Someone kick me
-
Hey for those that can order the CF-29 is a L3L (256) They don't ship to people on dirt roads.
It's a long story. -
Don't feel too bad guys
For me that company says when I go to check out
Invalid Country
Now I am told that I live in an Invalid Country
A dirt road is minor in comparison -

I think someone needs to tell them to start taking paypal payments . Then I would be tempted .I see it has a combo drive too..hmmmmm

I tried to buy one last night but did not get far
. The above "quote" was in the check out , at that price it got me wondering if it was included. Missed out on it anyways

Great,
Now another website I have follow like my kids in a candy store. -
Mmmmhmmmm... it appears they may have wised up after seeing how stripped out units are selling in their eBay store...
IntechraParts items - Get great deals on Dell, IBM items on eBay Stores!
I see they no longer even LIST any Panasonic laptops in their search engine.
mnem
WahWahWaaaaah... I lose. -
I just got a phone call from them saying that they were listed wrong and at a price that was too low and they are canceling all the orders..
I am waiting for a call from the supervisor. I think that since they had them for that price the ought to stand by it and sell at the listed price.
Bob
Who ever else ordered one, when you get the call to cancel, make sure you complain a lot. -
"I see they no longer even LIST any Panasonic laptops in their search engine.
"
That's cause they're all gone! The ones they have on their fleaBay store have low hours, GPS, wireless ready, and probably touch as they list "no stylus". We'll see, you can't go too wrong with a CF-30 complete for $250 shipped, including a hard drive, caddy, and a multi drive. I can't believe they lasted until 5 AM Eastern after they were posted here.

They should stand by it and sell it to you at the listed price. You did the check out and paid for it then it's yours
.
-
The charge has already been made on my credit card.
Bob -
I wonder what the intended price should have been? My first impression when it was posted was that they dropped a 1 from the price so should have been $1222.00 as that would be more realistic. Heck it would cost more to steal one at $222.00
-
They were supposed to sell them for $700, CF-30CTQAZBM. I don't think you can force them to sell it to you for $225, offered me 20% off the $700, so $560, will take another $20 off if you are nice to him. Not such a good deal, but still a deal. Rob's getting $1200+.
CAP -
He offered me the same deal, unfortunately I don't have the $560 at this time, so I guess I don't get one
Bob -
When you talk to them Bob
Let them know that one of our most experianced members here ,Teo
Passed on them @ $222.50
Anyways I have seen many threads here where there has been a price mistake and members have taken advantage of the deal
I have yet to see where the member gets anything other than a refund and an apology -
toughasnails Toughbook Moderator Moderator
Well $560.00 is still a good price if it was in any kind of shape but it's still $338.00
more than the first listed price
Just about what it cost for my 30.

When something seems too good to be true it is.
If my address "issues" hadn't stopped me I would have bought at least three of the four last night.
Then I would be the one getting the phone calls. I won't say anything about them But....if I as a business owner listed something at the wrong price then I would stand behind it.
Meanwhile I'm happy I'm not the one getting the calls.
Bad luck guys, my sympathies.
Jeff -
yeah I saw that and checked their ebay store here in dallas the models I think even had GPS but like you said if it seems to good to be true.
-
When I called they said they knew nothing of cf-30s for that price. So whats the deal? They just changed their mind after telling a customer a price?
...thats great customer service. -
I would have hopped on the bandwagon if not being lumped as another invalid country, oceans apart. Like Alex, no harm trying...
Ron in SG -
Anyway, I'm convinced it was an honest mistake, they offered a significant discount, were very apologetic, and we'll see if they rush them through shipping as promised.
CAP -
The CF-30 arrived today, I shamed them into FedEx overnight. It is spotless, missing only the AC and USB covers, really like new. Even the touch screen is unmarked. So, I'm happy even at $540.
CAP -
Cap what were the specs on the one you got?
-
I bet you are
Where can you find a touchscreen for less than $850
Did it come with the optical drive as advertised ? -
Its a basic MK1 with a touch screen. CF-30CTQAZBM It did come with a multidrive, battery, 80GB hard drive 1GB ram, COA, 3800 hours on the clock. Its as least as clean as my "old" 30 which was pretty much like new when I bought it 2+ years ago BD (before dredging". I should probably sell it as I have all the original packing from the other one.

Now they have them up on fleaBay:
Panasonic Toughbook CF-30 Core Duo 1.66GHz Laptop - eBay (item 290527520103 end time Jan-31-11 10:41:41 PST)
They really are as clean as they look.

I would say $540.00 was a good price. The last 2 they sold went for $911.00 and $920.00 Panasonic Toughbook CF-30 Core Duo 1.66GHz WIFI LAPTOP - eBay (item 370477000882 end time Jan-25-11 12:30:13 PST)
Winning bid: US $920.00
-
I think those had built in GPS though. notice the bump out on the right top lid.
-
They did have GPS but internal GPS isn't worth $380 to me. It's not worth $80 to me for that matter. I was thrilled to find that the HD from the old CF-30 went right in, booted up and even had the touch screen drivers installed and functional even though the old machine does not have a touch screen. The restore disks must install the TS drivers even on non-touch machines. I will have my MK-4 CF-29 up for sale shortly as the old CF-30 is about to become the beater. Unless of course there is someone here who wants a CF-30 in very good shape except for a little epoxy on the touch pad.
