Greetings - I have a CF-73 from my office Germany which I have used for several years now. At the Helpdesk where I now work, we have numerous CF-74's for internet access, etc. The power supply on the CF-73 is 15.6 volts - 5.0 amps - the CF-74 is 15.6 volts - 8.0 amps. The adaptor sockets are the same. Does anyone know if it would be safe to attempt to charge my CF-73 using an 8 amp CF-74 charger? Thanks in advance...

8 amps is the maximum draw, so it should be fine. It will only operate at whatever the toughbook wants.

Modly - Thank-you - I thought it would be safe but didn't know for sure. Nice wheels in your avatar by the way... :)
