Things you can also do with the CF-M34
    Divx video player
    Microsoft Office 2003
Most flash games from the internet can be downloaded and played offline on your CF-M34 by using Adobe Flash Player 10/11 (remember to set the Quality = low). Flash games like Angry Birds can be played with the touchscreen of the CF-M34…

ArtRage 2 Starter Edition (nice paint/draw program)
    ArtWeaver (paint/draw program)
Daedalus (Nintendo 64 emulator works in a windows and wireframe… but you can play Mario 64 !)
    Deep Paint (paint/draw program)
    EB Worlds (Game creator system)
    PC Navigator 12 FREE (GPS/routeplanner)
    Ultimate Paint (paint/draw program)
    Virtual DJ (music DJ program)

This list will be updated... I have many games that i am going to test on my Cf-m34....

These games also work on a Toughbook CF-27 or Compaq Armada 1592DT/1700 (although a bit slower....)

Really neat list! Makes me wonder what could be played with a cf-19mk5. Not that many more I guess as it still lacks a graphics card.

The newer intergrated graphics in your Mk5 is a lot better than what is in older toughbooks. I can get Portal to play no problem in my CF-30 Mk2, It has Intel X3100. I never did try in on my CF-30 Mk1. I still have my CF-19 Mk1, same chipset so I can give it a go on it later on.

This is what I think is in your 19 Mk5
Intel QM57(GMA 4500MHD video controller) max. 1024MB UMA VRAM on VP2 (have also seen mention of Intel HD3000 in it as well, not sure what yours has in it)

I have seen a Intel 4500 play Skyrim with a few setting tweaks and graphics turned down.

All games work on newer/faster toughbooks. This list is especially for older models with a 2D card. Like the CF-27/CF-M34/CF-71.

CF-28s mk2/mk3 are also able to play a lot more games like Need for Speed and the Sims 2. The CF-M34 mk2 can only play the Sims 1.

Needed to search a while, but it seems I have the HD graphics 3000 with a maximum of just under 2 Gb of memory.
But without a real video card it's impossible to play games I really like, COD MW, Crysis and the lot. I haven't played those games in ages because my laptops haven't been able to play them and I don't have the need/want/money/time to buy a game console.

But I'm still surprised about the number of games you can play at a M34, let alone a 19mk5.

AlecGold, this list is only 30% of the full list. I am still working on it. I also have several gamelists for my other laptops. The Compaq Armada 1592DT and Armada 1700. But i check those games for sure on the CF-M34, because the difrence of videochip and sound chip.

The sky is the limit on DOS games too. I still use DOS BOX to play Dark Sun Shattered lands, finally found the second game Wake of the Ravanger but haven't played it yet. Still replaying the first one. DOS abandon ware sites are FULL of old games. Also check out THE OLD COMPUTER .COM good site.

Another larger update. I've got almost all games covered now, that i have at home. I did not test MS-DOS games, only Windows 95-XP games. MS-DOS has a severe problem concerning sound on the Cf-M34... There is NO sound... only PC-beeper. I still did not found a good sounddriver for the Neomagic and Intel AC97 in the Mk1-Mk3 cf-m34 to play MS-DOS games with sound.

anyhow, this list is very usefull for everybody to have a quick check if a game works on their CF-M34 or CF-27.

I also posted this long list on the Toughbook wiki (so that even more Toughbook owners can read this list)

Have fun and start playing games !

Ador, i didnt find any drivers for the sound. I tried some utils like DosSound, ICHINIT and Judas player but they also dont work.

So, any DOS drivers for sound for the CF-M34 MK1 (that use the neomagic chip) and the mk2 (that uses an ac97 sound emulation (actually no real soundchip, because its the cpu that emulates the sound)

    Mk1 has NeoMagic 256AV (WDM)
Mk2 has Intel AC97 sound (NOT VIA AC97 !) and for video = LynxEM4+ LynxEM4+ 256 BGA Rev. AA / SM712G4 AA (the SM712G4 is a little bit better as the supposed LynxEM4 that many websites think is, what is inside the Mk2 with celeron. it has some 3D abbilities, like hardware cursor and hardware FOG abbility for games.

I got Unreal Tournament 2004 working on my CF-M34 mk2 (400Mhz). A little bit of "hacking" on the setup-file. changing standard resolution in software mode from 800x600 to 400x300. Also make sure to set all graphics extras to low. The game plays, a bit frame-dropping and stuttering,. but i can play UT 2004.
