Sorry if this has been asked and answered many times, but does anyone recommend a vehicle mount for a CF-19? This would be installed in a Ford Connect van. I see alot of vehicle docking stations online, but cant seem to figure out what is needed to actually mount to vehicle, like to the passenger seat bolts?

To properly answer the question, we need the actual Model Number of the CF-19; such as CF-19xxxxxxx .

Here's your Transit Connect configuration from Gamber-Johnson (based on limited CF-19 and vehicle configuration information):

    7160-0245 Ford Transit Connect Base
    DS-LOWER-9 9" lower pole assembly
QADJ-UPPER-M 8" long quick adjust upper tube assembly for DS-LOWER-9 or any vehicle base with a welded pole
CLEVIS 0-90 Tilt swivel motion attachment for DS-Series (90 degrees tilt)
7160-0207 Panasonic Toughbook 18/19 docking station with no RF
7160-0049 Screen support for Panasonic CF-18/19 docking station and cradle
11798 80 watt hard wire power supply for the Toughbook 18/19/29/30 docking stations
    7160-0230 Short Support Brace (10.3" - 16.3")

And here's the base unit installation info:

    Ford Transit Connect (2010)

Here's a new Gamber Johnson unit for the CF-19:

    PANASONIC TOUGHBOOK GAMBER-JOHNSON Vehicle CF-19 WEB184

Be sure to note the shipping charges for this unit!

Thanks for the help. Full part number is CF-19KHRC62B.

Seems the best thing to do is get the docking station on ebay and the other parts through a vendor, which will keep it somewhat reasonably priced.

Does anyone know what the RF pass through is? Is that just to connect an external WWAN antenna? Do you even need an antenna these days or just stick with the built in?

That makes a big difference.

    CF-19KHRC62B DESCRIPTION:
    * Windows 7 Downgrade to XP *
Intel Core 2 Duo SU9300 1.2Ghz (Centrino 2), vPRO, 10.4" XGA Touch Screen, 160GB HDD, No Optical Drive, 2GB RAM, Intel WiFi a/b/g/n, Dual pass-through (Upper WWAN/Lower GPS), Windows XP Pro, TPM Security Chip, Bluetooth, Gob WWANi, GPS, Toughbook Preferred

The dual hi-gain antenna connectors will require a vehicle dock configured for the connectors ( IF you plan on utilizing them); and they are more expensive and more rare to find used.

Actually, if you spend a little time searching ebaY™ you can find most all the components necessary to configure the mounting system you need :) (except maybe the vehicle-specific base  ).

Since the unit has the dual connectors, they would be used with externally mounted (i.e.: outside the passenger compartment) hi-gain antennas to extend the range of the WLAN and pick up more GPS satellites faster.
