    Hello again everyone,

I am in the market to install my CF-30 in 2 different vehicles. I was wondering what your guys opinion was on which one to choose. I definately want a good one but do not want to break the bank too bad. Also, in a vehicle application do you recommend a power inverter and use standard AC power or should I order the 12 volt power cord? Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you
    Mike G.

First things first: what is your CF-30's Model Number? (needed for the dock's configuration)
Then you should definitely look at "previously owned" ones you will find on ebaY™; as new ones will "break the bank!"
While the inverter offers the ability to power other 110V devices, I would go with a "hard-wired" Lind Electronics power adapter if it were my applications.

    Model Number: CF-30FCU80JM
    Status: DISCONTINUED
    MSRP: $5,599

Description: Vista Business, Intel Core 2 Duo L7500 1.60GHz (Centrino), 13.3" XGA Touch Screen, 120GB HDD, 1GB RAM, Intel 802.11a/b/g, TPM1.2 Security Chip, Bluetooth, Emissive Backlit Keyboard, Verizon EVDO Rev A, GPS, Dual Hi-Gain Antenna Pass Throughs (Upper:WWAN/Lower:GPS), No Optical Drive

The main thing I needed from the Model Number was whether or not the unit has antenna pass-through connection(s); which it does.

This will need to be taken into consideration in the dock selection process: IF you intend to utilize external antenna(s).

BTW: CF-28 and CF-29 docks will generally work with the CF-30.

That being said: move quickly: :)

Thank you. I have been searching Ebay but only to find new ones. I bought them both.
