hello, comrades!
realy need you help and advice. I have the toughpad FZ-G1A with MC7750 card,
and there is one little thing that make me worry about - GPS function. All drivers are installed
and all devices are determined in device manager. But I can't obtain proper tracking data. NMEA data is transferred from Sierra NMEA (COM5) but just until the fix and data transfer stops.
Where to look for the decision?
Sierra Watcher also does not see GPS as Windows. -
Not sure. I personally use M$ streets and trips 2011 and it works GREAT!
Thanks! -
A few AT commands make GPS alive)))

Keying in that I have a few CF-31 that use the MC7750 chip and I am having a terrible time getting connect before logon to work on Verizon for the 3G service.
I have to have connectivity as its required to connect to VPN before logon. The Verizon access manager auto connect is not working and the Windows 7 built in Auto connect for the MBB is not working either. :/ -
Auto connect has issues with this card on aircard watcher. We had the same problem, fleet wide. Install the latest drivers and you should be good to go. If not PM me and I will send on a registry hack we got from Panasonic to fix the auto connect problem. But I think this is integrated into the latest aircard drivers.

Welcome to the Panasonic Toughbook forum
Just wanted to let you know that before anyone can PM you that you will need 5 posts. -
You need a driver and watcher specific to the type of connection your card makes - QMI or DIP (Direct IP). In Device Manager, the Hardware ID of the card at 68a2=DIP, 68a3=QMI. Let me know which one and I may be able to help you out.
I gotta say, I never knew a simple aircard was so complex and support is next to nil. You'd think it would be like purchase a phone with appropriate bands, insert SIM, (maybe put in an APN) and click connect. Especially in Canada, unless you're an oil-field customer or something with your own account manager, good luck in getting an answer from a carrier - the answer will be, "...so, it works with the USB aircard you purchased at the time, right?" -
Showing 68a2. Not sure if it makes a difference, but it's XP. And was working although acting up prior to a modem replacement from Panasonic. Called them to ask for advice, but no luck. I have since reimaged so I at least have a blank slate to work. Auto-connect is critical to this so any help is appreciated.

Just copy connection's shortcut to your \Start Menu\Programs\Startup.
My common method))

Go here: http://source.sierrawireless.com/resources/
and search for your MC7750 - you'll be able to download firmware updates and the latest QMI driver and watcher.
If you're running the FZ-G1A, why are you still on Windows XP? It comes with Windows 7 does it not? If not, an upgrade to Windows 8 is well worth it especially if you have an SSD.
The Windows 8 integration with WWAN modems is great - and yes it will autoconnect on bootup. Plus with an SSD, the power-on to desktop time is >10 seconds on my mk5 CF-19 which is much closer to a tablet experience than XP on it right now! -
The MC7750 cards are no longer supported by VZN Network...
