can anyone please tell me where to find a Verizon Wireless EV-DO Embedded card for a cf-18
-
If the one from a CF-74 will work for the 18, I may have one for sale.

let me know if u do please

is your cf-18 wireless ready? if so you will find the wwan pcb under the bottom cabinet and just above the sound pcb.
if its not you will need to install a retrofit kit into it. -
I have a CF-74 with the Verizon EVDO card in it, and I have taken it out before to look at it. I do not use it for that purpose, and dont have verizon either. So if your CF-18 will accept the card that's in my CF-74, then it's a possibility. Not sure how much to sell it for, but from what I found, a new one runs about 215-270. What would be a fair price for the card and for me to ship it to you?

The cf-74 uses a pci-e based wwan card
Please confirm compatability in your cf-18
I believe only cf-29 mk-5/cf-30/cf-74/cf-19 use the pci-e based wwan cards
The cf-18 uses a different wwan module

Well, thanks TomCat for the clarification. I just know that I don't use the one that's in my 74, and if it works (seems like it doesn't) I'd be willing to help him out and sell it. But oh well, no big deal. I guess its a good thing i didn't start parting it out anyway....
On a side note, what do you think i could sell my 74 for? It's a MK3, It's got the T7300 and 4GB RAM, and all the other standard toughbook features..Just about 2 years old, and still under warranty.....just curious to know what I "could" sell it for if I had to (or how much i would insure it for). Any "ball park" figures??? Anyone??? -
I paid around $700 for mine (used) several months ago, and it still has only about 550 hours. A brand new one is going for $1400-1800, so go figure.
