After using the laptop for around 10 min I get screen glitchs. The best way to describe it is similar to the screen saver Mystify for windows. It seems like it happens in the corners of the screen and boxs that are open. Its always the weird stuff that happens to me

You may want to try reloading the video driver:

    Title: Video Driver
Model Number: CF-29[N/P](Mk5) Windows XP Pro SP2 CF-29[N/P]xxxxBx
    Operating System: Windows XP SP2
    Language: English(North America)
    Last Updated Date: 2006/04/04
    video_29_5_d050424.exe [5.96 mb]
This file is self-expandable on any Toughbook model‚ but the
drivers can only be installed (used) on the applicable model number.

I downloaded the driver and went to install until it said "CF-29 series software.
This machine does NOT support. It's the same error message I get when I try to install drivers for my non working F keys

Did you get the model number from the bottom of the 29 or from the BIOS. If you got it from the bottom then I would check the BIOS.

Did you get the Model Number (CF-29NAQGZBM) off the sticker on the bottom of the machine, or from the BIOS readout (press F2 during blue Panasonic bootup screen)?

Use winrar to extract the exe file, if you are sure you have the right driver,as it bypasses that message

I know everybody here says its software issue, but I really think the gpu is overheating.

It sounds to me like you are seeing video artifacts, and they only appear after about 10 min of playback.

maybe you have a heat sinking issue.

i Got the model and serial number from the bios. I think 'Gothed' is right because i left the laptop on for a couple hours and it was getting worse. Im going to take it apart tomorrow and clean it up and use some new thermal compound.

This may also be related to bad RAM as the video shares some of the onboard RAM. You may want to pull the expansion RAM if any and see if the problem goes away. Hope it's not the onboard ram that's causing it or you may be in for a new motherboard.

It will need thermal pads not thermal compound. Thermal compound will make matters worse.
