I just wonder, what is the maximum video memory(video ram) that we can get on cf-28, either 800mhz or 1000mhz. I just notice with my 1ghz, when it is running of windows 2000, i only get 48mb but when i upgraded to win xp, upgraded all the drivers, i've got 64mb.

How are you checking? I thought the CF-28 only allocated 8MB of VRAM.

correct me if i am wrong, I just checked on the display properties and gives me 64MB under memory size. I tried to look on the bios but there is no specific value on it.

Interesting the RAM seems to be all over the place when checked in display properties. On a Ighz machine with XP it shows 48MB and on an 800mhz with windows 2000 it shows 32MB and 48MB when changed to XP on the same machine. The 600mhz shows only 4mb but it is onboard and not shared. This warrants further investigation to see what is really going on.

See! what I am talking about, you can even get the 64mb by upgrading to intel extreme driver for 800mhz and 1ghz.

On your unit that shows 64MB can you get 1280 X 1024 resolution without panning around the screen? I have to wonder how accurate the memory reading is since the allocated ram only shows 8mb being taken from main ram when viewed in my computer properties I show 248MB out of 256 available ram. What does your say?
