    Greetings,

I have lusted after a Panasonic toughbook for some years now, but have never had the opportunity or the money for one, until this week. I have been living in Japan for the last couple of months, and I managed to pick up a "let's note" cf-t2 for the Japanese equivalent of 275 USD. This is equivalent to the buisness rugged toughbooks sold in the USA.

I have reinstalled the operating system on the laptop with an english version, and installed all of the drivers off of the panasonic website. However, I am unable to get the circular scrolling to work, and I cant find that function in the synaptics utility. Any thoughts on where I can find the correct software?

Also, even after installing all of the drivers, I still have an error in my device manager saying that I do not have drivers installed for "Base System Device."
Everything seems to be working fine, anybody else have his problem?

    Thanks for your help.

My best guess is that you don't have drivers for the MB chipset installed; these would typically be found on the OEM restore or resources disk. For now, Windoze is using default driver for the Northbridge/Southbridge; however getting the correct chipset driver will usually help you get the most performance from your HD & PCI bus...

As for the scrolling utility, I have no idea at all where to find that, unless its from the OEM disks.
