Does anyone know of an internal PCIe WWAN module for WIND Mobile in Canada?

    Edit:

Sierra Wireless' 5-series is EVDO, and the other cards while they do 2100, they don't do the 1700 band. But with more digging and your suggestions on the other manufacturers, here's what I've found. Maybe this should be added to the FAQ?

Looks like any Gobi3000 module might work as well.

    Free bump!

Hey did you ever find a band 4 card after all? I'm on Videotron on this side of the country which uses the same frequencies as Wind. I found an Option GTM689W but I'm having trouble finding the proper firmware to flash it.

No, I've never found one so I've stayed with the MC7700 that I swap SIM cards on Rogers and Bell with.

That's a shame. I'm close to cracking this with the Option card I just got, which is essentially a Gobi3000 that does band 4.

Here's an update for you: I got a Huawei 820U to successfully log into Videotron AWS 1700/2100 on my CF-19 MK2 running Linux Debian sid/jessie LXDE. This will definitely work with Wind Mobile and T-Mobile AWS. I do NOT know where to find Windows software and drivers for it, nor have I looked.

I nabbed an Option GT689W but failed to find CSA software to flash it, otherwise that card would also do AWS 1700.

The MC7700 supports B4, B17, and B1 for LTE. The others are WCDMA and GPRS:

    Code:
                                                         0000000000010000 - B17
                                                         0000000000000008 - B4
                                                         0000000000000001 - B1
                                        0000000008000000 - B6 (800)
