I have a cf-19 mk7 (USA model) that has a WWAN card from Sierra wireless, the MC7305 for Europe.
It has worked (after a lot of tinkering) in a mk5 (original EU model), but it worked perfect.
I use the driver for the mk7 for the EU, I use the Air card watcher for th mk7 for the EU (both same programs, versions etc. as I used in the mk5 even though it did do some protests).
I'm left with on persistent problem:
When I connect WWAN from windows, it nicely connects to whatever I say. It just doesn't want to go any faster then 3G, but I need 4G/LTE because of coverage.
When I then start Air Card watcher it tells me I'm connected to Verizon (which I'm not).
When I let Air Card Watcher connect, it will try to connect to Verizon (which isn't possible and therefore not working).
So in short, how in earth can I get Air Card Watcher to connect to my provider (advanced settings anywhere?)
Or how can I access advanced settings in Windows? (which I prefer, not having a need for the annoying Air Card watcher).
Is this perhaps something that is set in the bios? Of is there a localisation setting that places this laptop in the USA? I configured windows to be in the Netherlands.
Some more data: windows 7 64 bit, CF-195HYAALM, MC7305-EU.

1. What settings do you want to change to switch from 3G to LTE? You can change APN in Windows connection properties and you can use AT string. So what settings are you looking for?
2. Aircard watcher has different profiles. Try to delete one for Verizon and create your own for your provider.
Here are drivers, utilities and newest firmware for you card.

1. I have no idea what settings I need to change, but I do need to chance something?!
2. I can make profiles what I want, it still connects to Verizon. Really odd. -

Look here for new versions of driver, utilities, firmware. Try them.Alecgold likes this. -
thanks! I've tried all other options I could think of, may this holds a solution.

What ever you try, don't flash the firmware on a mc7305, you will brick it!

Are you sure?
I know many people (forum thread) updating firmware on MC7305
Just do not use firmware for MC7304)

Hmmm, I'm gonna try again, but so far it can't find any network any longer.
And no, I didn't do 7304 on a 7305. I think. Did I -
I'm sure one of utilities switch frequencies and 2G/3G/4G.

I did screw it up, now I can't find the whole card anymore in device manager hahaha. New one is on it's way from China. I hope.
