    I have the 250GB version , good value for the money
    Boot to desktop time was 45 sec with the standard 7200rpm hard drive
    With the hybrid it was reduced to 35 sec
    The Intel SSD is 25 sec

    Not so bad. I guess over time it improves though as it puts the most used files in nand. So maybe 30 sec now? lol

    It took around one week to get to the 35 sec
    No improvement on that time,so I bought a ssd lol

    are you using bootracer? sometimes i get 16 sec with my ssd ocz agility 2 120gb

    FWIW: Since I started using toughbooks 6 years ago (starting with my CF-29), I've NEVER, N-E-V-E-R! Turned mine off.... Always just put it into standby....

    Real life ,time from power on ,to where I can click on IE or whatever and use the laptop

    it just times each boot up. not really a benchmark program.
    standby still uses power does it not? idk i have just been a complete shut down guy :) i guess your a standby guy lol
