So i keep reading about all those cool mods people do and add-ons. Got me thinking,

What do you use your CF-28 for?
What do you run on it? OS and software
What are the specs of your CF-28?
What mods have you made to it? Paint, hardware, etc etc
Inclusion of pictures would be great :)

    Thanks

I use mine for MegaSquirt tuning, GPS/Mapping, and as a laptop in bad environments (The machine shop I work at, and outdoors). It's also used as a wireless testing/breaching unit.

It also doubles as a legal weapon in 9 states.

I run XP, Linux Mint, and Linux BackTrack 2. Specs are in my sig.

Sure did. All my GPS testing was done in it, so it's got a GPS module in it, 400Mw wireless card with external connectors, and swapped out my buggy old keyboard for a rubber backlit one. I also have a DVD-RW burner, 6.6Ah battery, and a media pocket battery.

I haven't painted it yet though, but when I do it'll be flat black like my car.

What do you use your CF-28 for?
I program industrial controls in auto plants.

What do you run on it? OS and software
I dual-boot W98 and XP. I keep 98 around mainly so I've got a real DOS environment for the older DOS-based software (that still gets used from time to time)

What are the specs of your CF-28?
1 GHz, 768MB RAM, 100GB Hitachi drive, etc. Like the rest of the NBR crew, I've pretty much maxed out what can be done with the 28.

What mods have you made to it? Paint, hardware, etc etc
I was going to paint mine black, but I found a factory black-painted 28 that I swapped parts with to make mine black. Where I use mine, a "hey look at me!" paintjob is not an asset. Sadly, I haven't done any serious hardware mods to mine, yet. I've got all the parts, just haven't gotten around to doing anything yet.

Inclusion of pictures would be great :)
I've got a lot of pictures up on the yahoo group, if you've joined there.
