The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. I am either losing my mind or my computer is. I went to log in on IE which I have hardly used in the past. It has gotten to where pages do not display correctly on Chrome so I have started using IE a little more. It tells me my password is wrong. I click on Send Password. It does and it tells me my password is Dell_Email. Never in my life have I used that PW. I go to Chrome to see if I can log in with my usual log in info. It works fine. I go back to IE and try it again and it tells me to enter my email and password. It logs me in but under a completely different user name!
What in the world is going on?

They installed "better" forum software a couple of weeks back...
Since then it's been going backwards...
    icons don't show
    photos don't show
    reply box is missing
not to mention that with out many tweaks, it's IMPOSSIBLE to read without major eyestrain..
    but hey, it's better software
But on the good news, people are posting a lot less..so there is not much to read......
    TBT works

Toyo....not sure what is going on with your password but the other problems they are working on . Since the upgraded software was installed we have been having a few :vboops: bugs but they are working on it now trying to figure out the problems. The rep system has been disabled for now. Figured I should let you guys know just incase someone notice it's gone.

yeah ... ditch chrome if you can and treat IE like an outhouse when it is -30F or +110F :
go there only when you absolutely need to and make it snappy .

i have had no problems using FF (including the beta testing versions as i write this) .
yeah ... the new and improved software needs some fine tuning (my #2 ball-peen is available) ...
currently i am using the vB 3.x fluid ... it looks the best to my poor old eyes .

your password problem may be signs of in infection ... i would suggest heading over to malwarebytes (or another reputable outfit) and seek some help cleaning out the machine ...
ya never know and it won't hurt .
