    I think the CF-61, CF-62 and CF-63 are all variations on the same theme. Pentium processors in the 120-166 range, optical drive that slides out in a tray from under the keyboard. The CF-63 is supposed to have a dvd-rom. 1998 is calling!

    It may not look as tough but I kind of like the tilting keyboard to access the cd/dvd.

    For its time it was quite good

    The TFT screen, and a touchpad were desired features

    Unfortunately the backlite is almost gone
    (Thats the reason for the picture being taken in the dark)

    Generally you are safe with 7 years old and newer
    Backlite's dim with age, and the last sign before total failure is a reddish color showing up on the boot screen which stays for a minute and then the screen is fine
    The backlites on the older models were not that bright to begin with so its noticeable
