Anyone familiar with a CF- 63?
Here's one for sale on fleaBay:

Could be a typo, doesn't show up on the Pany config site.
So what are the features of this mysterious and rare CF-63?

I think the CF-61, CF-62 and CF-63 are all variations on the same theme. Pentium processors in the 120-166 range, optical drive that slides out in a tray from under the keyboard. The CF-63 is supposed to have a dvd-rom. 1998 is calling!

I've never seen the 60 series, hard to see in the dark pic

Looks like a pile of crap to me....

Looks like it should be wearing a dress.

Here are the details on the Toughbook 63

It may not look as tough but I kind of like the tilting keyboard to access the cd/dvd.

For its time it was quite good
The TFT screen, and a touchpad were desired features
Unfortunately the backlite is almost gone
(Thats the reason for the picture being taken in the dark)

 Get a CF-41 then. Same under-keyboard CDD.

It probably has banana peels in the hard drive to keep it from grinding... -

 Agreed lol

Generally you are safe with 7 years old and newer
Backlite's dim with age, and the last sign before total failure is a reddish color showing up on the boot screen which stays for a minute and then the screen is fine
The backlites on the older models were not that bright to begin with so its noticeable
AlexAzrial likes this.
