I took the keyboard from my old CF-27 to put into my CF-29.

I want to put my CF-29 keyboard back into the 27 but in my eagerness to get the keyboard out of the 27, I broke the connectors for the keyboard ribbons... is this part of the motherboard or is it a seperate chip/board? If it is the motherboard and I need a new one, do I need to buy one from the exact same model as mine or can I take the opportunity to upgrade the processor with a mobo from a newer 27?
