Hello again, I'm trying to figure out what soft was used with cf-28 for it's GPS, and what other programs were factory installed with the systems, cf-28 and cf-28, or maybe some one can point me in the right direction where I can get that information.

    Thank you,

Sure, read the FAQ's at the top of this forum regarding GPS for a 28; and also look in the toughbook drivers sticky at the top. Both should provide the answer you are looking for which is to download the driver from panasonic or robsnetworks.com/toughbook. There was no "specific" software to run the GPS, just the driver to enable it. You were on your own as to which software you wanted to use. You can download something like Winfast Navigator or GPSinfo to test your GPS. Both I believe are available from Robs network.

Let us know if you need more help.

Look at Microsoft Streets and Trips and iNavigator to start with.

There are about 3-5 recent threads on this subject... If you use the search feature you will find them. It also depends on what continent you live on.

Panasonic did not provide any software for the GPS... One of the great things about Panasonic is that they do not load up Toughbooks with ANY kind of bloatware... Just drivers and significant programs. To my knowledge... No other laptop seller does this.

On some GPS equipped units we bought directly from Panasonic they included a trial version of ALK Copilot laptop live. But nothing was preinstalled except the OS and Panasonic specific drivers.
