The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Suddenly receiving a "Connect to ToughWili.com" Logon screen, then the 404 error message:

    Authorization Required

    This server could not verify that you are authorized to access the document requested. Either you supplied the wrong credentials (e.g., bad password), or your browser doesn't understand how to supply the credentials required.

    This is even on the home page.     :confused: :(

    EHH! Please read this!: ~Toughbook Talk~ Toughbook Discussion • View topic - Toughwiki.com hijacked! Help requested!

    Phil (Canukcam) and I are both working EXTENSIVELY AS YOU SPEAK (and have been for days now) to fix this site since it was Hijacked! It's password protected while we make changes, but won't be once it's all fixed. We've already restored the old database, installed more extensions, changes a lot of settings and are working on deleting the garbage out now.

    I'm hoping for it to be back up and running by tomorrow at 6PM Central time.

    Phil and I have been forced to not allow any new user registrations and no editing can be done for now. Still TONS of garbage on the site, which will need to be removed in time, but for now we're good! :)

    In the midst of the server upgrade, I still need help with this. How the HELL can we delete ALL the pages at once. This is foreign to me...

    I did able to figure out that there are 1341 dead end pages... I can start deleting manually. This has been driving me crazy for a LONG time...

    Starting slave work later tonight.

    This honestly won't take too long I don't think
