    I know Baxster has called for panasonic to make a ultraportable toughbook with a bright screen. I assume they still have not, and will not for at least the next year or even two- 2008!

    Just how they can continue selling the toughbooks with average to well below average screens and keyboards, is ridiculous.

    You would think that Panasonic was selling so many of them, that putting out better and better products isn't a need. And now that so many other manufacterurs are making "tough books" themselves (maybe not quite as tough granted but not far off) the rationale to lay out 2k plus is not even close. It looks like panny will continue to mostly cater to commercial buyers, and thats that.

    My two cents. I've seen the screen on a toughbook. Can't remember which one, it was a niftly thin little thing and I was shock by how dim the screen was compared to many other brands. The screen seemed inferior to my old laptop's screen at the time. I was shocked mostly because of the fact Panasonic's LCD Televisions are right up their with the big boys. I'm sorry, but I couldn't imagine paying $2,000+ for that. I never touched the keyboard. Looks like they've left the door open for Twinheads to throttle-up sales (At the stores to). Thats the only other 'Durabook' I can think of. Plus Twinheads are far cheaper. Rofl. Btw, I'm not saying I wouldn't pay $2,000+ for a lappy ever. One of my sad, pathetic dreams in life is to purchase one costing close to, or more than $2,000 dollars.-.-;

    panasonic makes good TV.. wonder why they can't incorporate some of that into their notebooks
    then again they make good cameras yet can't implement good camera into their handphone as well. pretty sad
