I tried searching but came up with nothing.

I'm looking at the cf 30, but I do plan on getting a 100gb 7200rpm hard drive and replace the factory 5400rpm one. I don't think that would cause any issues, would it?

problem I'm encountering is I have a copy of vista premium that I want to install on the new hdd, but when I went on the panasonic web site, I don't see them even listing all the drivers. matter of fact, I don't even see them listing all the drivers for XP. So my question is, if I want to do a fresh install of either XP or Vista, where would I go to obtain ALL the necessary drivers?

Being that this will be my first TB, the ones people have purchased on here, does it come loaded with bloatware like some companies? or is it kept to a minimum?

I suspect Vista will have most of the drivers already. You could clone the drive and throw it on the new drive.

When I got my first CF-28... I just copied my drivers file over to a thumb drive before I reformatted it. Later I bought a CD with all the drivers for the CF-28... But when I build a CF-28 I still use the drivers from my thumb drive... It works like a charm.

thanks for the quick replies. I was thinking about doing that. but since the cf-30 only ships with xp pro installed, I would have to get the vista drivers from somewhere, and on panasonic's support site, there are just a handful of drivers, not all, but yet they said all vista drivers will be available by June this year. doesn't seem to be updated that much.

I have a dumb question... Have you tried using the XP drivers for Vista?

Also.. In talking with the Panasonic tech reps... You can try all the different country sites... I was talking with Tech Support for Panasonic, (800) Laptops, asking for an updated BIOS for a battery problem I was having. (Still am) He was talking to himself when he was looking for the update... He was checking the Panasonic website of different countries! You can check Panasonic Canada, Japan and Australia to start... Then you could probably Google some more.

Good Luck and please post back what you find!
