    Hi ALl,

I tried contacting Shawn about fixing my screen, but he is really busy right now. Is there anyone else that can perform this repair?

I'll ship to Canada, it is just the front bezel of the screen, not the entire machine. I'm near the Canadian boarder too.

    For the record:

    Jeff is the MAN!

Instead of fixing mine, he sold me a *brand new* panel for a great price with insanely fast shipping even before he received my check.

Need a new touchscreen - drop him a line. Not too bad of an install either.

The install work for you o.k? Did you use the gasket?

I did have a TS PCB (printed circuit board..I looked it up) :) go haywire one time. Other than that if that new TS doesn't work it's crappy connections on the mobo or a bad wire.

Now there's a party. I just soldered three wires on that digitizer cable I've been begging for. It's running.

I'd really like to keep my stash so will refer anyone to here. [email protected] for new panels. techtough from the forum. (techtuff?)

    Jeff......good show

I cut out the old panel with a razor blade, used new gasket material (cut in half length-wise - it was too wide, and tested. Worked perfectly, so I reassembled. Calibration is now spot on (the old panel had bad spots).

    Just need a protector now.

Have you tried to clean around the edge of the screen ?? , does it go to the far bottom right when you touch the screen ?

    Scoot,
Keep checking this link. They are out today. I have some left. Touchscreen Touch Screen for Panasonic Toughbook CF-29 | eBay
I would like to hang on to mine but if you want to PM we can talk it over.
As far as fixing them I have had some success.
I also have two spare complete lids with working TS. We might work a trade + a little but I would have to have your lid. Annnd I think I have a bezel with a working screen in it. Again I would need yours.
    PM is best.

    Jeff

No problem ;) . I did notice that there is a few more sellers selling the touchscreens panels and it's not that hard to change just get a service manual and off you go. :D
