Both of my CF-M34's are 700MHz/256mb and appear to have the same specs except one has the standard screen and one has the translucive screen.
The standard screen is CF-M34NEFZDM.
The other one is CF-M34NPFZEM.
The configurator doesn't go this old![]()

Actually the configurator does. From the main page, look in the lower left portion of the screen and click on all discontinued models. Put your model number in and it should come up. At least it did for me.
What I found is:
CF-M34NEFZDM - P3-700MHz, 256, 20GB, 8.4"HIGH BRIGHT, 56K/LAN, WIN 2000 ( More clearly - Pentium III 700 MHz, 20 GB HDD - 8.4" SVGA - High Brightness, 256 MB RAM - Ethernet - Modem, No WWAN, Windows 2000, North America)
CF-M34NPFZEM - PIII 700MHz, 256MB, 20GB, 8.4"SVGA-TF, COMBO, WIN 98 (Pentium III 700 MHz, 20 GB HDD - 8.4" SVGA - Transflective, 256 MB RAM - Ethernet - Modem, No WWAN, Windows 98, North America) -
Oh weird, when I went here:
http://config.toughbook.com/
I didn't see a button for the M34, but now I see the search box. Thanks! -
Thanks for jumping on that Rusty... You saved me a trip!
Why do my CF-M34's have different part numbers?
