    I have a CF-WEB272 docking plate mounted
in my truck. I am thinking about upgrading
my CF-27 to a CF-29. I was hoping someone here
would know if I will need a new docking plate.
I would be running supply power and USB.
I think the USB might only be USB1.1 and the 29
has USB2. But that would just be a speed issue.
    It should still work.

NO, it won't... I bought one of these docks off ebay once for a steal deal (like $20) going against my gut feeling that it wouldn't work, shure as crap I was right... didn't work!. I had a Mark 3 cf-29 (E3KGZKM)

You need the CF-WEB2732 rather than the CF-WEB272 which only works on the CF27, CF-28 and I think the Mk1 and MK2 CF-29.

Horizon Electronics on ebay show the CF-WEB272 compatible with the CF-29 but like JB007 says it don't work on the MK3.

What exactly didn't work? Any of the ports? They seem to be identical in all respect except for the drilled out speaker grille on the CF-WEB2732

If it will work with the MK1/MK2 then that would be perfectly alright, as they
<I presume> have the same, improved, screen brightness over the 27/28
units. That and built-in WiFi is really the only improvements I need over the
27 I have now. Is there anyone that can confirm that a CF-WEB272 will,
    indeed, work with the CF-29-MK1/2?

Yes, all the marks on the 29's have better brightnesses than the 27/28's. The mark has nothing do with if it will work with that dock... doesn't matter which mark, it won't work

I upgraded the docking plate to a cf-web273. I have used that with
both my CF-27 and my new CF-29 and it seems to work amazingly well.
I cannot find a scrap of Data on the technical aspects of the docking plates.
The pin-outs on the connectors, etc. Anyone have an Idea where this data might be found?
