    Hi all.

Well it worked!! I am typing this on my TB CF27

Short Story. I posted here earlier about not being able to install Windows on my TB without an internal CDROM. Here's how I did it.

    Went to:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/304868

and learned about the various install methods.

    Went here:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/197063/EN-US/

to learn about making the boot floppies. (4)

Made the floppies, and after a few attempts, my TB saw the external CDROM. Even though there didn't appear to be USB in the boot sequence in the BIOS.

    I used:

CDROM: Sony CDU76E set to "Slave" in a SUB/FW PHR-100 enclosure. BIOS was set to A:/C:

Hope this helps. It seems that with Win2K Pro, it can be installed via external USB CDROM.

    Cheers,

    Neil.
