Now that I have the touch screen fixed my 30 (thanks again Jeff :hi2running on Windows XP Pro, it is time to move into this century and get Windows 7 going and also thinking about a dual boot system with Linux.
I ran Linux mint live from the DVD I downloaded and it seemed to find all the hardware.
Is there anything special I should know before proceeding?
Let me know
Bob

Mint is awesome. If you are looking for details of installing Windows 7 on your MK1, look here:

Best regards -
Just make sure to install the W7 first, and then proceed with Mint. You'll be fine.

Exactly.....install W7 first....get it updated....then let Mint 15 install the dual boot system. Yes, you can do it the other way but I prefer to let Linux do the partitioning.
You can install it the other way but I like what I am used to.
You will need to do a little terminal work but minimal. Let me know when you are ready.
Sent from my dual hd dual boot CF-29.
