Hey guys let me just start out by saying that I am a long time fan, even though I am just a newbie on the posts. Kind of a late bloomer on the toughbook front so I have just been reading in the past.
I have been trying to get a Copy of W7 loaded correctly on my cf-19CHBAXBM for a couple of days now and I am having issues. On one load, I did get everything working as in my tablet buttons but the only way was to force the registry edit in that RCX posted. I have since reinstalled thinking that the upgrade was a good way to go but have since had troubles getting things working correctly as my touchscreen model is not recognized as a tablet pc on W7. Does anyone have any ideas for a workaround for a touchscreen cf-19. maybe info on workarounds through the registry? TIA. This is really bugging me.
    Jeff

I have a CF-19 that is the same model to yours, and instalation of W7 was straight forward with the exception to a couple of unknown devices. I followed the instructions listed for the CF-18 W7 install, and did a fresh install (not upgrade).

W7 support for CF-19 Mark 3 and later is expected to be released at the end of this month, this may help some of the issues For earlier model CF-19's.

Question. where do you go to set the tablet pc buttons? I could only make them work after I added entries to the registry. Then they work, only no customization. I'm not sure, I am working on another attempt of a fresh install. I figure I will get it all working here sooner or later. Thanks for the reply

As far as I know, the only way to regain some functionality of the tablet buttons at the moment is RCX's registry method.

Ok for another question. Does anyone know the method and key entries that are needed to add other functionality to these buttons? If possible I would like to find different reg entries for other combinations

New W7 drivers for CF-19 are out. Fixes touchscreen issues on the CF-19.
